The Status Queue

September 29, 2007

I finished production of Kenneth and Shirley’s 50th anniversary video today. Next up is some serious work on Walt and Dawn’s wedding video edit, with possibly some more T-Ball and softball videos sprinkled in between. When I am editing, I will simultaneously be transferring some VHS to DVD (with light editing) for a client of mine who is interested in preserving videos of her son.

I am keeping an eye out for turning leaves. Once they are at their best, I have an outdoor video shoot to do with the seniors.

Anniversary Video and Wedding Video in the Queue

September 23, 2007

Editing: I started editing Ken and Shirley’s 50th wedding anniversary video Saturday. Their party was last week, in Memphis, MO. I plan to incorporate a few elements from their anniversary slide show into this video. I hope to be finished before the end of September, as this is now a “rush” request.

Capturing to computer: I am still capturing footage for Walt and Dawn’s wedding video. It would have been in editing by now, had I not had to put a rush on the Elliott Anniversary project, due to health reasons.

Event Videography

September 20, 2007

From The Video Scribe:

Why hire a videographer to capture your special event?

quoteMemories fade. Videos linger.

Your family heritage is important. Video tells a story pictures can’t. When you hire an event videographer, you invest in your cherished memories. The result is a multimedia presentation rich in the sights and sounds of your special event, one which you will pass on with pride to your children’s children, knowing it will last a century.

I do wedding and other event videography as well as slide shows in Kirksville and the surrounding area. Slide shows are the perfect addition for viewing at your special event, such as wedding reception, anniversary, or family reunion. In addition, I can archive your older photographs or home movies. Sometimes, home video is “boring” to watch, why not let me edit some of the highlights into a family DVD production you will be proud of?

Walt & Dawn

September 2, 2007

I watched a little footage taken at Walt and Dawn’s wedding yesterday with the unmanned camera. When her father gave the bride away, you can see him but not the bride (the groom was in the line of sight). When everyone is on stage, the action is a little too far to the right. It is going to be difficult to edit any cutaways into this wedding. I hope I have enough B-roll footage to help out. It was a nice wedding and the reception locale, Jackson Stables, was perfect.
